The Giraffe Centre in Nairobi is exactly what the name says, a center for giraffes. The Giraffe Centre situated in Nairobi. Located 40 minutes away from Nairobi’s Central Business District; it offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Despite being an awesome get away and giving a feel of the wild while in the city; The Giraffe Centre is the creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organization. It offers an amazing experience to interact with the gentle giants (giraffes) and the unique opportunity to feed them offers a one in a lifetime experience. The feeding space is on a raised platform enabling you to be neck on neck with the giraffe. The experience also allows you to watch the giraffes in their natural habitat, there are no cages and the giraffes are free to roam and come up for feeding voluntarily.
The giraffes at the Giraffe Centre are pretty chilled and fun to hang around with, and feeding them is a dream. Wink! All that and the fact that you get to hang out with giraffes makes the Giraffe Centre earn a place on the top five places you must visit while in the city of Nairobi.
